AtSeat ("we", "our", "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the AtSeat mobile application ("App").

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

  • Mobile number (for login via OTP)
  • Name (required for new users)
  • Email address (optional)

1.2 Automatically Collected Information

  • Last active session time
  • App usage events required for core functionality
  • Cached search queries (to improve performance)

1.3 Location Information

With your permission, we collect:

  • Approximate or precise location coordinates

This is used only to:

  • Show nearby dine-in places
  • Display your current city or area

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected data to:

  • Authenticate users
  • Enable app features (e.g., cart functionality)
  • Improve performance and reliability
  • Sync user data across sessions
  • Provide location-based results

We do not use your data for advertising or marketing.

2.1 Usage & Popularity Insights

We may collect aggregated interaction data, such as which places or restaurants are viewed or clicked within the App.

  • This data is used to understand overall popularity and engagement
  • It helps improve discovery and ordering experience for all users
  • Data is analyzed in aggregate and not used to build individual food preference profiles

We do not track or store your personal food preferences.

3. Third-Party Services

AtSeat uses third-party services such as:

  • Map and location providers (e.g., Google Maps APIs)
  • Search and infrastructure services

These services may receive location coordinates only, without attaching personal identity, solely to:

  • Resolve map views
  • Perform location search
  • Display area names

Their use of data is governed by their own privacy policies.

4. Data Storage & Security

  • Data is stored securely using industry-standard practices
  • Access is limited to authorized systems only
  • We take reasonable measures to protect against unauthorized access

5. Data Retention

We retain data only as long as necessary to:

  • Provide services
  • Maintain performance and reliability
  • Comply with legal obligations

When an account is deleted, active user data is removed immediately. Limited backup data may be retained for a short period solely for recovery, fraud prevention, or legal compliance, after which it is permanently deleted.

6. Data Sharing

We do not:

  • Sell user data
  • Share data for advertising
  • Track users across apps or services

Data is shared only when required for app functionality.

Aggregated usage data may be used internally to display popularity indicators, but is never shared with third parties.

7. Your Choices

You can:

  • Deny location access (some features may not work)
  • Delete your account directly from the App at any time
  • Stop using the App at any time

Account deletion can be initiated in the App by navigating to:
Profile → Privacy & Security → Delete my account

Upon deletion, your account data is removed immediately. A minimal backup of account information may be retained for up to 15 days for recovery or legal purposes. After this period, all remaining data is permanently erased.

If you log in or create a new account using the same mobile number after requesting account deletion, you may continue to use the App normally. However, if the deletion process for a previous account is still in progress, you will not be able to request another account deletion using the same mobile number until the earlier deletion is fully completed.

8. Children's Privacy

AtSeat is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. Changes will be posted in the App or website.
